Supporting DIY artists from the bunker

We hope everyone is staying safe and healthy as possible right now. This is clearly a challenging time for everyone, and we all want to find ways to support each other and connect with each other while minimizing the risk of spreading COVID-19. With tour cancellations and venues closing, DIY artists are finding ourselves off the stage and back in our labs. We could use some community support, and more importantly, we want to be there for all of you stuck at home, we want to create music you love, we want to be the soundtrack to the quarantine!

So, with this in mind, our friends at Bandcamp have decided to waive their revenue share until midnight tonight. This means that all artists get 100% OF THE PROCEEDS on Bandcamp today. It’s a perfect excuse to fill your music catalog with brand new, freshly baked DIY music straight from the heart. You can support your local scene from home, decide what bands you want to go see when this is all over, make all independent playlists, and help your new favorite artists grow.

Here at KBOR, we believe strongly in our friends and in the artists we work with, so Katey and I have each made our list of favorites and their Bandcamp links. (We have great taste, you won’t be disappointed). Check out these bands, many of them allow you to name your own price (be generous!). And if you haven’t already, please also, stream and/or download Monty O’Blivion’s music here.

We’ll get through this, just do the hand-washing thing, stay home as much as possible, drink a lot of water, and all that. If you’re able to, donate to the WHO response fund, local schools or food banks. Check in with friends or neighbors unable to work right now. We are stronger together!
